I was riding my scooter and everything was going well...That is, until I fell. As soon as I hit the cold dark asphalt I knew something was seriously wrong. My face turned very pale, like I had a white sheet embedded in my face. My first reaction was, "Oh I must have just sprained it or something!" Then, I tried to move and a shockwave of pain radiated through my whole body. Soon my Mom had caught up to me and was asking me to move my wrist, and of course I couldn't. So, we went straight to the E.R. The Emergency Room bore bad news. I had broken my left wrist. So of course we had to go through the process of fitting a sling onto my arm and learning how to bandage my arm so it wouldn't move until I got my cast. It was two weeks later and I was at the Child Care center getting my cast. The man asked me what colors I would like it to be and I picked Electric Yellow and Lime Green. (Those were the names!) After he wet the mold down he started wrapping it around my wrist. It had a very distinct and foul odor. By the time I left, the mold had dried and I knew that I was on the road to having a normal feeling arm again. These days, I have my cast off and everything is feeling fine!
One day I broke my wrist and it hurt like crazy.
